Vintellect Train the Trainer Course
At Vintellect, we understand the importance of maintaining standards and that in the hospitality industry where staff turnover is so high this is very difficult unless key members of staff are capable trainers. Everyone is capable of training but few are any good. A good trainer will impart information in such a way that students retain the information and use it correctly. The only way to train successfully is for candidates to understand the basic principles and feel confident in front of an audience.
This is a tailor-made two day course designed for key members of staff who may be responsible for training. The first day covers wine sales and service and the second day is dedicated to training the trainer.
Day 1
· market trends
· oxidation and the importance of wine preservation
· back bar design and merchandising
· correct service behind the bar/at the table
· the factors that affect the taste of wine including; grape varieties, climate and winemaking
· how to taste wine and identify faults
· food and wine matching
· opportunities for up-selling
Day 2
· objective of training
· understanding the audience
· how to plan and structure a training session
· training techniques to ensure maximum participation and productive learning
· candidates to prepare to deliver their own training sessions
· delivery of training sessions – each candidate to deliver a 10 minute session
· summary of assessments
At the end of the course day the delegates will be fully equipped and motivated to drive the wine sales forward using their newly acquired sales, training and merchandising skills.
