This course starts on Tuesday, 8th April 2008 and takes place between 7.30pm & 9.30pm every Tuesday for 6 weeks. It is based on the Wine & Spirit Education Trust Intermediate Certificate Course. It covers: how to taste wine, grape growing, wine making and explores the World's classic wine producing regions.
The price of this 6 week course is £250.00 per person including; WSET Tutor, use of ISO Tasting Glasses, Tasting notebook and over 40 different samples of wine ranging from popular brands to top Grand Cru's.
Anyone wishing to sit the WSET examination will be invited to attend a 7th week. There will be an additional fee of £45 per candidate to cover the WSET exam fees and invigilator costs.
Your tutor, Emma Kershaw, delivers a well structured course in a light hearted and entertaining manner. Emma is a Director of Vintellect which specialises in hosting wine tasting events. Emma is highly qualified and teaches WSET courses up to Diploma level.

- Week 2 ~ Chardonnay & Pinot Noir
- Week 3 ~ Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot; Sauvignon Blanc
- Week 4 ~ Syrah/Shiraz and Grenache; Riesling
- Week 5 ~ Italy, Spain & Portugal
- Week 6 ~ Sparkling Wine; fortified and dessert wine
- Week 7 ~ (Optional) Examination and informal wine tasting
